FMX 338: mood board

Image
Suzuki’s demonic mood board is her as a demon. Her demon is at the moment a separate entity from her human personality. She is wild, crazy, and matches the color of blood. She is dangerous. She is born from both the devil and a human, so this is her demonic side.  Ssuzukis mood board is her usual self. She is sweet, kind, full of joy and when you think of her you think of sugary ness, comfort, and soft. For The antagonist, I choose a hellish board.

FMX 338: Animation Pitches

Animation Ideas: Little Imaginations:  a little girl is playing with her dolls with her mother, once she is left alone, her imagination takes over and plays out a anime-style fight scene. Pilot episode Toriokira: A young girl is the new transfer student in a small town. She is asked to meet one of the girls in the class after school. The night after school, she is attacked by the girl who happens to be a demon and discovers that she, herself, has horrendous powers.

FMX: Animation II

My name is Taylor Guyton, and this is my blog for Animation II.

FMX Animation: Dialogue

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fU0AA85MVGY For the dialogue was the hardest part of the projects. I had a hard time and not enough time to do what I really wanted to do, it took a lot of frames and a lot of time, but I think the overall animation was ok. I did everything in clip studio paint but edited it in after effects with what I knew about after effects.

FMX Animation: Typography animation

Text Animation h ttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-C_9ZUXpORg For the typography, surprisingly it was easier to handle than the bouncing ball, however figuring out where I should put the words and how I should format the video was hard. It was different because some of the words I had to split up the letters in order to animate them separately but, because I did a fast song it was harder to put all of the words in the scene as a fast as the words in a way that the audience could read it.

FMX: bouncy ball after effects

This project was fun to do but was also tedious. I had to fix the ball a lot of the time, but being previously self taught in after effects, it was easy to learn fast from after effects.

FMX Animation: Weight

For the weight, I decided to use characters I had previous made up. It was interesting to see my character brought to life, but it was hard to keep up the consistency of the hair and the clothes. but nonetheless it was fun and interesting to do especially in a program like harmony in which I had never used before.

FMX Animation: Walk cycle

For the walk cycle I decided to do a run just to see if I could do one. it was harder than I thought it was going to be especially since it was a run and I've never really studied people running before so it was definitely a challenge.

FMX Animation: Rotoscope

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ROkON68RhdE For the video, I put together a collage of myself dancing to these moves, and then used harmony to draw over it. originally I was going to color the frames, but there were too many. I found it easier to work with harmony rather than photoshop because of how the frames show up and the easy way to copy and paste

FMX Animation: Stop motion 2

Image
For our stop motion project we decided to do a pixel animation about the revenge of a bunny. It was hard trying to figure out what To do with the character and how to get on obstacles such as getting on the bed and how to let the items like my shoe fall. It wasn't as hard as I thought it was gong to be, but it went smoothly. I tried uploading it to After Effects and editing the image sequence, which took about 200 picture(frames), but the raw canon files would not render correctly. I had to convert each picture to a JPG and redo the video. We also had to grab some music from Youtube, so finding it was not too hard.

For this project, we thought of the idea of fruit ninja and pac man together. It was interesting to see how dragon frame worked, having not used it ever before. I was nervous about how it would turn out.. We ended up with over 100 frames of animation. Each of us worked together to move each fruit and pac man.

FMX Animation; Introduction

Hi, My name is Taylor Guyton, 2d animation is my favorite. I grew up in Japan when I was younger for a total of five years. I got my inspiration from Japanese animation. Being in Japan created a whole new world for someone like me who have lived in the States most of my lives. My art began in South Carolina, where I was interested in a show called Sponge-bob, and from there my life got interesting. When we moved to Japan, at 9 years of age, I created my first animation. When I moved away from Japan, I was devastated. The culture was rich, the people were kind, it was a dream world. So after a year or two being in Japan, I decided that it was time that I make a decision. I wanted to become an animation. When I made this decision, many people tried to turn me away from the entire idea, but I just couldn't. I've been drawing for so long, I almost forget that there are other options. I want to learn a lot from this class, mainly new programs to work with. Ive worked with pain...

Art 211: deconstruction Video

Image
For my project I decided to focus on the meaning of worth and worthlessness. Sometimes people give more credit to feeling worthless than feeling that they are worth it. To illustrate this concept, I made Worth as a girl trapped under a black and white environment in the wet and cold, and gave worthlessness a beautiful look. I made worthlessness wear a dress of red to symbolize demons. When people continuously say they are worthless, they are giving worthlessness a spotlight, and leaving their worth in the dark. For the effects of the video, I did a lot of reverse, speeding up, color change, tv simulator effects, and black and white effects. I used final cut pro and a T3i rebel camera. It was a lot of fun filming it in the water, but it was a mess as well. Originally I was supposed to film outside, but I decided that if I film the two elements where it looks like they are trapped, it would be better. I want people to realize how much they are worth. I decided to do this concept...
