Art 211 Scan art

Image
My art is based on the graffiti art movement. I choose wings because I love that graffiti art can be interactive instead of just on the wall. I love graffiti art because I feel like it can both artistic and interactive and a bit rebellious. I felt like the wings were something that some people dreamed of having. My original idea was to scan main  parts of my body, like my face and my arms and legs, for the middle part and recreate myself in the wings. But instead of putting myself in the middle to recreate myself, I used the rest of the pieces of the cut paper from my scans to create a mystery body. I decided to only glue the bottom of the hand scans to the board so that it would look kind of like the hands could be ruffled or moved. I wanted it to look like wings, so I turned the hands on the left side slightly different than I did the right side. Here is the picture I based it off of: Work;

Art 211: grid art

Image
my grid art is based upon my picture that I drew a few weeks ago. Originally my design was supposed to be complex, but upon the arriving deadline, I realized it may not be possible. Grid art can be beautiful and if done by hand can be complex and take a while. When you look afar at grid art, it may seem easy and simple, however, grid art is not always easy and can be quite tedious when it comes to working on it. My grid art was complex, I had completed it within four-five hours, but it was hard. My original material was supposed to be clear thumb nails, however, when I ordered them, they arrived at a different location, so I had to improvise. For the thumb nails, I was supposed to paint all 900 of them. So for my improvisation, I painted my picture. Since I was going to do circles anyway, I did drawn circles. One of the most difficult things about grid art is that it will not come out looking the exact same as your picture if you section it in just colors without details. It will l

Art 211: Animation

For this project I used characters that I had created. The characters background makes sense for the animation I created. The girl and boy are mortal enemies and assassins, but also childhood friends, they follow a one sided love for the man. For the animation they start off in a fight but the man starts to show off his skills, and even kisses her. She gets angry and throws her last weapon, but he ends up catching it and drawing 'I love you' on the tree. Originally it was supposed to be digital and even longer than 200 frames, but hearing about this project, I took the liberty to start the animation and end it differently. I find it interesting that some people do this on a daily basis. stop motion is already tedious enough, and this project was fun but also frustrating. I wanted it to be a lot more detailed than It was but I didn't have enough time. this project also allowed me to play around. The hardest part of this project was probably the scene where they
